Our journey began with a vision to change how coffee is sourced to improve its flavor and also uplift communities but later we realised that a touch  to the environment is undeniably an important aspect of our primary goals. With reflections on a report by the International Coffee Organization (ICO), the global coffee industry is seen as facing growing challenges to adopt sustainable growing practices. This why at Organic Bean, we realized that as consumer awareness about environmental and social impact grows (International Coffee Organization, 2020).

For us, each step of an organic coffee bean production process is important and carefully considered. We at times source our coffee beans directly from farmers and always from cerified Fair Trade organizations which are in line with our sustainable values. This therefore ensures that our farmers receive a fair wage and that all those involved in the chain of production work in safe conditions. This approach has helped and empowered the struggling communities where coffee is sourced, hence allowing them to self invest in education, healthcare, and sustainable farming practices.
